Let it Be Light!

This cathedral was built for the Ghent Light Festival that occurred in Belfortstraat (Belfort Street)- Belgium. It consists of 55,000 LED lights which consume only 20Kwatt / h of electricity. Additionally, there are some elements of Romanesque and Renaissance architecture and the church is one Giant piece of art that creates a contrast between past and present. From medieval arches to LED lights.

The festival offers over 30 various exhibitions, for example, 3D projection mapping, fields of luminous flowers, etc. The festival lights are able to lit up the entire city of Belfortstraat and adding some type of glowing psychedelic aura.
